Re: Battery Buggy B
any tiny error in your calculation could have easily multiplied so you have to make sure your numbers are exact.

Also, calculate all the true values experimentally. Each part has some tolerance, and these build up, and make your theoretical calculations inaccurate.cheese wrote:any tiny error in your calculation could have easily multiplied so you have to make sure your numbers are exact.

Re: Battery Buggy B
I'd like to implement adjustable steering in my buggy for next year. So in the video below, Nestor revealed his secret of caliper steering.

Would I be able to use this kind of steering without the electronic caliper?

Re: Battery Buggy B
Its the same thing as the threaded rod steering thing, its just implemented thru the pillow block instead of the entire chassis as a whole

Re: Battery Buggy B
Yeah, they used rifle scopes. I should have thought of that . Would rifle scopes still be useful next year, even though there will probably a curving component?builder83 wrote:Did many of the national teams use scopes? Or just align it through 1 stick and wood dowel?
Any other interesting out of the box thinking?

Yes you still need to aim towards something when you set up your vehicle to curve. I used a laser with my EV, but a rifle scope does the same thing.MadCow2357 wrote:Yeah, they used rifle scopes. For reference, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th all used lasers to aim EV in 2017 at nats (idk about the rest, I just happened to be friends with 1, 3, and 4)

Re: Battery Buggy B
Please note that for BB, you must use a non-electric sighting / aiming device. So no lasers.windu34 wrote:Yes you still need to aim towards something when you set up your vehicle to curve.
