Not sure how much it actually affects performance, but it definitely makes some unsettling noises when the knot keeps making snapping noises as it moves against the motor stick. Where should the knot be positioned when winding it (in the middle of next to an o-ring), or is there any other solution to this?
Chinook or coaxial?
This is for a Chinook design, built according to the FFM kit

Put the knot really close to the hook not attached to the rotor. This way it doesn't get caught.

Really? Was this with or without some of the bonuses (ie. time bonus/colored rotors)? During 4th block, I heard the highest time was around 3 minutes.

Were these times using the FFM kit or a homemade kit?

It was an FFM kit but obviously with a few modifications. I'm not sure what they did though...

*magic*

TBH it was probably a combination of a ~3.00g helicopter, optimal rubber, perfectly built everything, and well balanced rotors.
