Considering the infrared beam is a form of light, could the IR beam be repeated twice, with one time counting for the light-to-photocell task and the other counting for the 20cm IR beam task?

I took the liberty of changing the topic name to "Photoactive Task" since the rules clarification means that this isn't really a chemical task at all.
