The cup it empty at first. If i drop 1 penny it is not heavy enough, but if i flip mayne 10 pennies it will be enough to move the cup
Random thought - must the coin flipping vs. not flipping be an integral part of the device? I.e. must the device be such that it will only proceed if the coin flips to count the coin flip task for points?
It would be near impossible to measue whether the quarter is heads or tails so I would hope not. Mine just uses the quarter and it would work without it flipping. Chalker seemed fine with this.

What counts as an unmodified US quarter?

Would taping a bunch of "unmodified" quarters together in a stack or making a little container for the stack count as a modification?

I had the same question. What im doing is taping a quarter to a weight, but im not sure if this is valid

Has anyone gotten further clarification on the idea with a lever flipping the coin and then dropping it?
Just trying my best...

SoCal's rule clarification says that this isn't allowed. I don't know about other states.

It's been allowed at every competition that I know of in Ohio.

I know on the first page multiple people were talking about pushing a quarter off a ledge to complete this task. However, I noticed that this execution of the task is actually not permitted in the SoCal rules clarifications. I'm wondering if you think other states are still going to allow this task? Or have you moved to a different solution?
