I’d say
1: 8
2-6: ~10
7-10: ~15
For a distance around 3m. Maybe overestimating a bit but getting a vehicle under 8 will be super tough and needs a bit of luck imo

So for a target distance of 4m what would be a competitive time?4Head wrote:Somewhere between 1-2 seconds for most.randomperson123 wrote:how much of a time difference is there for most vehicles between the 2m and 4m marks?

Re: Scores
Prob top 6 with that time would be 9 seconds and a cm or under off target I’d assumerandomperson123 wrote:So for a target distance of 4m what would be a competitive time?4Head wrote:Somewhere between 1-2 seconds for most.randomperson123 wrote:how much of a time difference is there for most vehicles between the 2m and 4m marks?

Re: Scores
Yeah I agree. If you have a dead on run you might be able to sneak in with 8 seconds but I think top 6 scores will be 5-8 points.windu34 wrote:Id put it at <6-7 secondsDarthBuilder wrote:Prob top 6 with that time would be 9 seconds and a cm or under off target I’d assumerandomperson123 wrote:

Re: Scores
Theoretically, if your dowel covers the target point you get a score of 0 for distance. Maybe a dead-on run is unlikely, but my point is I personally think the scores (not times, but total scores) of the top 6 teams will all be under 8. How they get those scores could vary (a 7.5 second car that's extremely accurate, a 5 second car 1.5cm off the mark, etc.).DarthBuilder wrote:Has there ever been a dead on run?Alex-RCHS wrote:Yeah I agree. Re: Scores
I scored a dead on run at 4m at my regional. However, my car was pretty slow, ~9 secondsAlex-RCHS wrote:Theoretically, if your dowel covers the target point you get a score of 0 for distance.
