Yeah, $100 per event sounds about right for B. C div Mission or Electric Vehicle have got to be more than that, though.waffletree wrote: Woah that’s a lot! Is it just for towers? or everything in general?
I think we spent around $100-120 for towers and Wright stuff, or at least that's what it adds up to.

Probably about $200 for Towers, and the rest is all Battery Buggy. You'd be surprised how much Battery Buggy can cost you...waffletree wrote: Woah that’s a lot! Is it just for towers? or everything in general?

So any ideas on how to build a testing apparatus? Or should I wait for the rules to come out first? I do want to start building in the summer though.

Basically, put a hook in a strong wall or strong board that won't bend.
I would also recommend messing around with some designing and building over the summer. Boomi is more of an... awkward structure vs towers or bridges (or that's what I always thought).

Re: Boomilevers 2019 (B/C)
I'm probably not building until the rules come out, but I'm gonna do some research on Boomilevers over the summer. Maybe think of some designs and what works best. Order some more wood. And maybe use the old rules, but it may be really different like towers 2016-17 vs 2017-18. And get everything set up for building in the fall.MadCow2357 wrote:So any ideas on how to build a testing apparatus? Or should I wait for the rules to come out first? Main difference I remember was a J-hook for mounting instead of bolt.randomperson123 wrote:were there any major differences in the rules from 2013 to 2014, I competed in boomilever in 2014 but not 13

Think there will be any major changes to the rules this year?

Unfortunately I last competed in this event for Division B so even if there are no significant rules changes, a new jig will have to be made

How would you make a jig for boomilevers, does anyone have a picture they can share?
