My plane did go nearly to the ceiling. It might've been about less than 10 feet away from the top. Maybe it isn't 90 feet, it's kind of hard to estimate the height of something that tall. The thing with a tall flying area like that is it's difficult to simulate that height in a regular high school gym, which I'm sure is what many people practice in. I managed to get 2:30 at my school which is about ~30 feet, and only achieved 7 seconds more at a place like that.

I saw a video from like 2009 (?) that had a 5 minute time at nats. What were normal times that year in a 20-25 ft gym?

If I remember correctly, the maximum motor weight was 2.0g back then. It alone would give an estimated 33% improvement. The wing cord was also larger. So not a great comparison.

We've gotten about 2:15 but that was without maximum winding.

2:19 in a 22" gym is my record, can't seem to reproduce it though :(

How significant is overusing rubber? Should I be letting it rest for 5, to 10 minutes between flights?
