Post by mynameisbob »

Hi, My plane has broken many times in the process of transporting it. Does anyone have suggestions?
Thanks,

We use a large plastic tote from WalMart, about $6-8, big enough to fit the plane assembled. We put a few small blocks of white EPP foam (the slick foam like computers and stuff are shipped in) glued in with hot melt glue. The foam blocks have a slot cut in them that accepts the motor stick. We can fit one in each way, tilted toward the middle. Never any shipping damage.

The way I do it is I get a big plastic box, put foam at the bottom and the plane on top, then surround the plane with pins so that it doesn't move around. It has never broken during transportation, even after spending several hours on a bus.

We have a plastic box and put bubble wrap in the box and under the lid. The wing and body of the plane are separate when we transport it.
