Enclosed clear tube

Post by ms74coach »

Hello, in invitationals has any student encountered issues with ES in using enclosed clear tracks, particularly for jumping and landing tube for the vehicle? Has any ES consider using the enclosed clear tubing a build violation?

There shouldn't be an issue. According to all the construction parameters (3), as long as:
1) the tubings in the 50x50x60 box
2) the tubing is clear
3) it has 5cm at the end of the gap (rule 3j)

Tubes are allowed this year. Unless the bracketing for the tube is wide enough to cover the marble (easy fixes for that). I worked quite a lot with tubing this year. The hardest part is consistancy. The tube must be larger than the marble so the launch point is slightly not as consistant as a rail track ramp I have found, but easier to build.
