It claims:

1. There are 47 B-division schools this year (so any school who made a genuine effort to participate in most of the events goes to state)
2. For C schools, the formula for the number of bids per regional this year is (0.5n-1), which would give the number of bids as (assuming we round up)

U46: 4
WIU: 3

That's a total of 48 bids, which means ISO would allocate another two bids somewhere, by whatever method they use to do that. lumosityfan's post above shows 6 qualifiers from the CPS region, which would suggest that they got one. Your post shows 6 bids from Oakton, which suggests they got one.

Going out on a limb here - this could be super incorrect but at this point idc. This is based purely off of Regional Scores to dilute any bias.

Really hard to tell if we'll see an upset, but I've learned not to bet against the other two teams.

Sub-30 Regional Score. I think they've also been successful out of state in places such as Texas. It's a good sign.

The best score against a top 5 team from the previous state tournament, and they were pretty close to matching them. That was certainly a pleasant surprise, and I can even see them getting  top 5 if there stronger events have more weight.

Sure, this may seem a bit high. However, on what terms do I rank them lower? They're giving me no reason to think they can't score this high. This team pulled the best score against a team that had less than 30 points. They've also been on an upward trajectory as of late since they're alternate bid in 2019. I don't see this being out of reach at all.

*I should also note that I'm probably going to get in a lot of trouble for this because I actually graduated from Niles West. But make no mistake, I'm proud of our rival high school's performance this season. Would love to see a school from my district re-enter the top 10 after 5 years. But hey, we'll see - best of luck!

8-9 I think are next in line due to a strong performance at COD. I could see some teams possibly overtaking them, but I think this is a pretty reasonable prediction.

Last year, Vernon Hills pulled what may have been the biggest upset at Regionals I've ever seen (at least since 2016). Glad to see that they've maintained that momentum. I'm a bit less confident with 8-10, especially #10 - it could be filled by another team. I'm certainly more sure about my top 7 than top 10. However, I would LOVE to see a team debut in the top 10 at state, that would be absolutely insane. Nonetheless, I can't wait to see how this team performs in their new environment.

I think Hinsdale and Naperville Central might do better than that. I'd rank both of those schools above Neuqua and IMSA. Agree that Vernon Hills is likely to place in the top 10. I think this could be Naperville North's year to take one of the state qualifying positions (probably bumping New Trier to third).

Otherwise I think that's a fair set of predictions. (Wouldn't it be nice to see the master regional scoresheet, though...)
Now that I've seen the A/AA split, it looks like that split is consistent with having been drawn from the master regional scoresheet (No A team placed above an AA team at regionals etc.)

Well, at least it's only one stupid question. And it's a monumentally stupid question for a remote year, because it's a bit of pointless obscure trivia that is easily googlable. It may as well be a big sign that says "please cheat".

It's also stupid, because in my few seconds of googling, it's not derived from a verb at all. It's derived from a noun that seems to be either tundar or tunntre, depending on what case you render it in, and seems to be Sami, rather than Finnish. A minority of references suggest Finnish tunturi as the origin, which is basically the same word (and also a noun). It seems likely that the Finnish word is a borrowing from Sami.
