I'm pretty sure you actually mean "Carbonate Compensation Depth". The CCD is the depth where calcium carbonate shells begin to dissolve faster than they deposit. The CCD is found at a shallower depth at higher water temperature. Typical depth of a CCD is ~4500m.

Oops yeah, my mistake, I meant calcite compensation depth, but I think carbonate works too. Anyway, the answer is right, so your turn!

had to look at my notes for this but it's the countercurrent of the California current, it's on the west coast of the US, flowing from south to north, and it is important because in combination with the California current, the directions of the currents near california reverse throughout the year, changing the composition of coastal water and the temperature of water.
