Yes, that is correct, and very well done indeed.Mayur917 wrote: ↑October 28th, 2020, 9:11 pmtwoplustwoisten wrote: ↑October 11th, 2020, 11:17 am Thank you, Ms. Breeze.
1. How much energy is lost between trophic levels, and what is this called?
2. Please provide a brief description of mutualism, commensalism, and parasitism.
3. Please explain the difference between a niche and a habitat.
Hello, here are my answers to your questions.1. About 90% of energy is lost through metabolic processes, leaving 10% of viable energy is available for the upper trophic level. This is known as the 10% rule in ecology. 2. Mutualism, commensalism, and parasitism are all symbiotic relationships in ecology. Mutualism refers to two organisms benefiting off each other, for example, terrestrial plants and insects (e.g. pollination). Commensalism refers to one organism benefiting from another organism, but the other organism is neither benefits nor is harmed, for example, ergets eating insects that a cattle kicks around. Parasitism refers to one organism (the parasite) benefiting from another (host) and harming it in the process. 3. Habitat refers to the region in which a species lives in. Niche is more specific. Niche refers to a habitat where species activities and interactions it has with its environment and surrounding organisms.

Here are my questions:
1. What is aragonite? How do you calculate its seawater saturation level?
2. What are the steps to the reproductive cycle of a banded coral shrimp?
3. Which coastal zones do seaweed typically inhabit?

Here's some more!
1. What species of HAB algae produce brevetoxin and is commonly found in the mid-Atlantic region (ex: Chesapeake Bay)?
2. What are the effects of mangrove destruction?
3. How many days does it take for a sea cucumber to reach its pentactula stage?

1. Aragonite is the mineralized form of calcium carbonate or CaCO3. It's calculated through , where the top is the concentration of dissolved aragonite and the bottom is the concentration of aragonite precipitate. 2. Antennule contact, erection of female body, grasping, mating, and spawning. There are also 9 larval stages. 3. Seaweed typically inhabit the littoral zone.

3. 10 days

yay have some questions:
1. Which organism from the ID list is known for consuming the Crown-of-Thorns Starfish?
2. Which biogeochemical cycle does not participate in the atmosphere?
3. Which survivorship curve do humans have?
