First question: Find the true dip if you measured the dip as 10.8 degrees and you were 5.8 degrees off the true dip direction.

yessir. I believe there's also batholiths which are formed by magma intruding into a body but doesn't reach the surface?

Felsic and Mafic rocks are types of igneous rocks, meaning they are formed by lava/magma cooling. Mafic (wordsmash of magnesium and ferric) rocks/minerals are generally heavier, have less Silica, and contain Magnesium and Iron, and Felsic (wordsmash of feldspar and silica) rocks/minerals are lighter in weight, have more Silica, and contain the elements for Feldspar (Idon'trememberoffthetopofmyhead) and Quartz (SiO2).
