Re: Ornithology B/C
Hello again, all.
So, I've figured out what information to get, but I'm having trouble figuring out the best format. In other words, I have organization of information pretty well figured out, but I'm a bit hung up on format. How do you all, or how would you all, suggest I organize my binder for maximum efficiency. Right now, I'm organizing it like I do my Astronomy DSOs: an image collage, and then an outline of information, but that becomes a wall of text and I think I'm wasting a lot of space and efficiency in terms of finding info.
I was thinking of doing something more fact-sheet-like with table-style organization or blocks on a page, like one might do for a "cheat sheet" style event, but I'm not sure what would be the best method.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Re: Ornithology B/C
For max efficiency, definitely memorize all your birds. If you're under a time crunch, you definitely shouldn't waste your time looking at pictures figuring out which bird is which. Other than that, do what works best for you. I myself like having a paragraph that I can skim thru, but others might like a table or another format.TheMysteriousMapMan wrote: ↑February 3rd, 2020, 9:40 amHello again, all.

Is it ok to have a modified list of birds in your binder that will not be detached at any moment throughout the competition? We need a table of contents for our fact sheets, but in the last invitational it was removed because it was considered modified even though we were not going to detach it from the binder.

Yes, stuff inside the binder can be from any source including a modified list of birds.dish123 wrote: ↑February 8th, 2020, 1:28 pmIs it ok to have a modified list of birds in your binder that will not be detached at any moment throughout the competition? I don't see why that wouldn't be allowed. It says you can have a binder "containing information in any form and from any source." (2a.) If you were gonna detach it from the binder rings that's a whole other story but I don't see why you can't have a list in the rings. The only thing you're allowed out is the official national copy of birds, unannotated. But you should be allowed anything as long as it's in the binder rings. That's pretty weird imo.dish123 wrote: ↑February 8th, 2020, 1:28 pmIs it ok to have a modified list of birds in your binder that will not be detached at any moment throughout the competition? Re: Ornithology B/C
Did you guys take notes on the bird's Families? Like their adaptations, etc. I just wanted to now. I don't want to waste my time on doing it. If so how did you guys format it?
