Lighter weight. It goes on rather thick if not diluted.

I see that Coach Chuck already answered. Ditto. Thinned duco to reduce weight. And, it’s plenty strong enough.

My team uses CA in small amounts for certain joints, including: wing dihedral, wing to pylon and front hook to fuselage and thinned duco for fin to stabilizer and stabilizer to fuselage and carbon to fuselage.

Why the different glue for different joints? Is it that some joints may need to be adjusted while others don't need to be adjusted?

CA is generally stronger but heavier, so it's generally used when the joints have to be stronger.

CA is generally stronger but heavier, so it's generally used when the joints have to be stronger.
And CA sets up faster, or can be kicked, so some joints that have positioning issues the CA allows shorter critical holding. This certainly applies to the dihedral joint.

Our best flying is 18 seconds under the 25 feet ceiling. Our glider is about 4 grams with nose clay. It seems that we already reached to our limit and don’t what to do to improve except to reduce the weight which is also not easy to us.

Thanks,

Nathan

Order lighter wood and sand as much weight as possible from every part of the plane. Keep track of the weights of individual parts and see where you can improve.

Our plane crashed and the horizontal stab broke in half during competition. Is there a way to make the planes stronger, or would that not be worth the extra weight?
