How do you guys store your airplane in between practices? How do you move them to state safely?

See some posts from last year. We store them in large plastic totes assembled. The totes have foam blocks to support the MS and keep the plane from bouncing around. Even for Nationals, we drive to bring all equipment. If you must fly, then you need to build a suitable carry-on container, and likely break down the plan to limit the size. If you must do this, you will need to accurately re-assemble the plane at the other end. Careful measurements can get it close, but a test flight will be needed. We do this for our AMA planes, but at AMA contests you have plenty of time to re-dial your plane.

well you can either store them in heavy duty wood boxes or light plastic boxes, just make sure they have secure lids with nothing that could rub against it in the box
it's not about the medals; go out there and have fun. make progress, learn a few things and have one heck of a time; that's all that matters.

I've used cardboard file boxes.
Whatever you use, you need to secure the plane so it doesn't move around.
And make sure if you store anything else in the box (handy to have it all together, make DARN sure it can't get loose and crash through your plane due to handling.
