2. What are the diagonal bands in specimen A?
3. What unique property does specimen B have?
4. Specimen A is found above specimen B. What event is this evidence of?

1) Specimen A looks like a sandstone. Specimen B looks like a shale.

2) I think you're looking for varve banding?

3) The shale displays fissility 

4)Marine Regression // A is younger than B.
LMAO I'm struggling on 2 and 3.

For 2., the answer is Liesegang banding. (It is a side view.)

2. Short time range, easily recognized, abundant, wide geographic distribution
