1. Medulla: absent or continuous, amorphous or vacuolated; width may be narrow to very broad (without mosaic pattern) in cow and in horse Medulla: absent to unbroken; cellular to amorphous
2. Cornstarch, calcium carbonate, and calcium sulfate
3. 24-36? hours

1 and 2 are correct, but for 3 the timeframe is on the scale of weeks to months
