From the tests I've seen so far and the invitationals I've been to, I've only seen one topographic map. You will need to know all the vocab strongly, but maps aren't the most important thing. That said, there may be maps at some invitationals/regionals/states/nationals, so I'm sure a decent understanding would be helpful. Just don't make it your main focus.

It depends on which terms you're studying... you need to know the vocab regarding each point listed on the rules. If you've got them all thoroughly covered, you're good.

Does anyone have the test exchange for the 2019 Dynamic Planet invitational?
I didn't go to it and I thought it would be good practice for upcoming events.

Does anyone know where I could get good resources to learn about specific surveys and studies? I've seen a few on tests but I'm not sure where I can learn more about them.

On the event guidelines for Dynamic Planet, it says we need to know the influence of bed (wet or dry, bare rock, and sediment). What are you guys going to put for that part? I can't really find sources on that.

I'm pretty sure that's the relation between accumulation and ablation: if the glacier's mass balance is positive, then it's gaining more ice than it looses; assume good climates for glacial growth. If it's negative, then it's loosing ice; probably warm, dry conditions.
Mass balance is used as an indicator of glacial health and of a glacier's growth and decay.

That's for the mass balance gradient, right? Also, what about the influence of bed (wet or dry, bare rock, and sediment) part and the relation of flow to elevation and gradient?
