kelvin-helmholtz clouds! my question: what are the curvature effect & solute effect, & how do they affect cloud formation?IHateClouds wrote:[What cloud looks like waves on a beach? (hint: its a kind of instability)

Re: Meteorology B
iirc the curvature effect is how bc a water droplet is round surface tension increases, hence saturation vapor pressure also increases.irisvirus wrote:kelvin-helmholtz clouds! my question: what are the curvature effect & solute effect, & how do they affect cloud formation?IHateClouds wrote:[What cloud looks like waves on a beach? solute effect is how molecules that are on the surface of water lower evaporation slightly, so vapor pressure decreases
together, relative humidity goes down, so it takes longer for clouds to form (edit: forgot to hide)
