That would really give teams that aren't WWP or Community some motivation.
To be fair, Monty is already pretty close to us. If you look at least year's results, http://njscienceolympiad.org/tournament ... esults.pdf , they were 29 points away from CMS, and the HS was 7 points from 2nd place, 27 away from 1st.
Let's not forget 2017 C; Montgomery almost won by 1 point

But I mean like, this year Monty MS was 3rd but 115 points behind Community (20 behind Grover) and Monty HS was 76 behind WWPS (67 behind WWPN)...

North and South in C have come first in States for a while, and obviously Community in B, and I'm not saying that having more bids wouldn't be encouraging for more schools, but really, the gap between them and the other teams isn't that huge all the time. The gap between North in 1st and South in 2nd last year was much, much larger than that between South in 2nd and Monty in 3rd. If South can improve by that much (or recover from tournament irregularities and whatever else they're gonna blame their loss on) by that much in one year, I really don't see why Monty or another team couldn't do the same.

Hopefully there's not something legitimately wrong with the website... I've never even seen a message like that lol.

It's probably an http/https error, that happens sometimes with Google links.

Edit: misinterpreted the issue, I thought it was a warning when you click on it.

The website has been updated for the 2020 season and registration will begin Monday, September 16, 2019. Some key things to note:
  • Registration has increased to $250.00 a team.
  • There will once again be no more second teams for regionals due to insufficient capacity.
  • Registration is due Friday, November 1, 2019
  • Regional team assignments will be announced on the NJSO website Saturday, November 2, 2019
