Yeah actually looking back at the regional scores, GV and Strath have a 1 point difference. But last year, GV got 98 points, and Strath got over 120, yet they still beat GV at states. I'm guessing Orefield got somewhere around 60 points at regionals this year, and that's if they placed an average of 8th in the 3 events they didn't medal in, compared to last year, where they got 65 points at regionals and 6th at states, beating GV by 50 points.EastStroudsburg13 wrote:While Anomaly has a history of being pessimistic about her teams sometimes, I agree with her here. I think Orefield at 7th is a bit of a stretch. It could happen, but I think other teams are a bit better equipped. Regardless, there does seem to be a fairly clear demarcation between the top 6 teams (Strath is in there based on history) and the rest of the field. Garnet Valley is the only other team I could see sneaking into 6th.

Re: Pennsylvania 2019
Relating to the raw score thing, did they email the password to all coaches from all regions already? I've asked middle school head coach and he says he doesn't have them yet, but according to someone else our region's raw scores are up with all the others.

Adding onto this, are we supposed to have access to the whole state's raw scores or just our regionals's?Anomaly wrote:Relating to the raw score thing, did they email the password to all coaches from all regions already? Re: Pennsylvania 2019
The password was sent to the head coach on February 28.
Subject Line B Division: [PASciOly B Div Coaches] Regional Results
Subject Line C Division [PASciOly C Div Coaches] Regional Results
As for the results. Everything is up there. That is why it is behind a password.
CE's folder was posted last night. I think there may have been a copy error because it was blank. But early today everything was uploaded.
The objective was to give all teams the same data. This has been an effort of the state co-director for a while. He has been focused on making sure all regions are scored the same to allow for the best teams to make it to states. This is why there are now State Event Supervisors and all regionals other than SW use the same scoring system.

Not quite everything was uploaded. When last I checked, CE was still missing results for about 5 events.nendawen wrote: CE's folder was posted last night. I think there may have been a copy error because it was blank. But early today everything was uploaded.

Re: Pennsylvania 2019
Anyone know the results of SE Urban yesterday? I know it wasn't an official comp that advances teams to states, but curious to see who won.

The Facebook page usually posts the results. I expect they'll be up at some point.Anomaly wrote:Anyone know the results of SE Urban yesterday? I know it wasn't an official comp that advances teams to states, but curious to see who won.

Wait, I'm kind of out of the loop. Why have teams compete in a regional if they can't get to states?EastStroudsburg13 wrote:The Facebook page usually posts the results.
