The schedules for states are up:

Division B
Division C

I'd be interested in hearing what people still competing think about cutting down to 5 timeslots. It looks like they avoided creating any new rigid conflicts by taking a pairing of events and making them self-schedule.

I think that it will be either really helpful, or a big hindrance. For those doing a lot of events, it might mean that some of the "self-scheduled" events are fairly dictated, which will in turn dictate the time slot for their partner. On the helpful side, it might mean that you don't have to wait eons in between events if you have only the early or later blocks.
2020 Events: Astronomy, Experimental Design, Detector Building, Ornithology, Sounds of Music.

Unsuccessful Assassinator of Game 143.

A 5 hour day is definitely a disadvantage to smaller teams. This year there are 49 people-slots and if you put that in 5 hours, you have to average 10 people every hour. Ten years ago, we went to State with 9 people. That would be tougher to qualify now, depending on how the regionals will be run.

I'll give it a shot:
1. Northville
2. Pioneer
3. GH
4. Troy
5. Saline
6. IAC
7. Stevenson
8. DCD
9. Holt
10. FHC

That felt a lot more daring when I was putting it together than it does right now since I'm realizing that I've just rearranged last year's top 10.

I've only seen results so far this season for Northville, Pioneer, Troy, and Saline, all from Ohio invites. Anyone have any results from MI invites?

And I've got no clue for Division B.

What invitational's results are you referring to, to make these predictions. I'm interested as to why you put Northville at the 1st.

Centerville, Westlake, perhaps another one I've already forgotten about.

But let's be real here, putting Northville 1st wasn't that much based on invite results.
