It is with great excitement that we officially announce that our Keynote Speaker for the Opening Ceremony will be......

Former Mythbusters star, Grant Imahara!

We look forward to his inspirational and fun speech in just three weeks!

So, since the first events are 7-8 am, I guess the flying practice will be at 5 or 6 am? My flying team is in an event that first hour.

They used to have testing Friday. That was a lot simpler, and did not require the kids to get up so early.

Totally agree. Even harder for kids from west coast. They have a time difference of 3 hours, which means kids need to get up 2 or 3 am their west coast time.

That really sucks for anybody who's not in eastern or central time.

I've never been to nationals before. But in general terms, does anybody know how hard is it compared to state competitions? Like if you get first at state for an event how many places do you go down in nationals from past experience?

It really depends on a lot of factors but the biggest is probably how competitive your state is. Nationals will be much more difficult though in all likelyhood
