DuPont Team Enterprise Award Watch
Hello everyone! As state tournaments start to occur and the bids to nationals start to be determined, I thought it'd be cool to keep track of which teams are eligible for the DuPont Team Enterprise Award. I will be updating the list below whenever a new team is eligible. Also feel free to partake in discussion concerning this award in this thread when the time occurs to do so (I suspect it's a bit early but eh it's not too early to talk about nationals stuff )

Re: DuPont Team Enterprise Award Watch
I still think that any team that has qualified in the last 3 years should be ineligible, but that's just a personal opinion.

I completely agree with you East. I even would venture to say "ever"EastStroudsburg13 wrote:I still think that any team that has qualified in the last 3 years should be ineligible, but that's just a personal opinion.

Re: DuPont Team Enterprise Award Watch
I wouldn't go quite that far; Slauson last year would be an example, where before 2017 they last qualified in 1992. That's a long time ago to be ineligible for an award, especially when students cycle every 4 years. I would probably say that anywhere between 3-10 years, I'd be happy with.PirateShip wrote:I completely agree with you East. I do think that "first time ever" would be a better criterion than the current setup.

Re: DuPont Team Enterprise Award Watch
First of all @lumosityfan you forgot Marie Murphy, they weren't at nats last year.
Second of all, it's time to revive this thread! I'm thinking for div B, the most likely candidates are:
Marie Murphy
- If they don't get top 10 it's almost guaranteed that they'll get the award, they're a very strong team.
Eagle Hill
- They generally get in the top 15, and though they were slightly weaker this year they should definitely be considered.
Lakeshore
- I don't have much experience with Michigan teams, but looking at past results they seem to be strong, so I'd say they're in the same situation as Marie Murphy.
Harlan Rowe
- Harlan Rowe is consistent, and they are one of the better teams eligible for the award, but I don't think they'll be able to beat the above teams considering that they have no nationals experience.
Raymond Park
- No offense, but this is kind of a last resort considering that they don't generally do outstandingly at nats. Their states score was admirable but I doubt they'll be able to beat the above teams.
And for div C, the most likely picks are:
Rustin
- Rustin seems strong this year, and they're generally consistent. Though they were kind of the underdog at states, I think they'll be able to pull through at nationals and get in the 10th-15th range (as much as I'd like to say they can get top 10, I don't believe they can because if people are doubting Harriton and Harriton beat Rustin by a lot, well...)
Ward Melville
- Ward Melville has been doing well this year. Their strong invitational performances led to a 2nd place finish at states (although they were kind of shown up by Columbia) and I think they'll be able to get in the 10th-20th range. However, Rustin seems more than a bit better than them.
Bothell
- No offense (again) but I only picked Bothell because I ran out of other schools. There really weren't many upsets this year in prominent states, and Bothell seems to be the most capable of doing well out of those eligible (but the above teams will almost certainly do better than them).
Thoughts, anyone?
(Also, as a side note, I'm almost positive that Kraemer will get top 10, that's why I didn't include them. If they don't get top 10 then I'm 100% sure they'll get this award.)

Re: DuPont Team Enterprise Award Watch
Looks like it's technically called the Corteva Enterprise Award this year, but Corteva is a division of DuPont.

Re: DuPont Team Enterprise Award Watch
This year will actually be Raymond Park's very first year ever attending Nationals. While they do have a mountain to climb, seeing as it is their very first time going, I don't think they are to be underestimated necessarily.kate! wrote: Raymond Park
