Yes because it used to be in the regular Question Marathons, but it's extremely easy to just post a scientific word without even doing the event, so people were gaining helpful posts at an alarming rate and it was moved to avoid that. Because in other events it takes at least some effort to answer a question (looking on your notesheet, thinking about the question for more than a minute, etc.) but in Fast Facts you can literally think of an answer and a question in under five minutes, so it isn't fair that people who did Fast Facts were able to gain hundreds of helpful posts. Plus, posts in Question Marathons are supposed to be legitimately insightful and helpful, and no offense, but Fast Facts isn't exactly that type of event.
8th grade: I knew stuff about rocks, minerals, experiments, and ecosystems!
9th grade: I knew stuff about amphibians, reptiles, freshwater, and experiments!
10th grade: I knew stuff about oceanography, saltwater, birds, and fossils!
11th grade: I knew stuff about birds and fossils!
