Yes because it used to be in the regular Question Marathons, but it's extremely easy to just post a scientific word without even doing the event, so people were gaining helpful posts at an alarming rate and it was moved to avoid that. Because in other events it takes at least some effort to answer a question (looking on your notesheet, thinking about the question for more than a minute, etc.) but in Fast Facts you can literally think of an answer and a question in under five minutes, so it isn't fair that people who did Fast Facts were able to gain hundreds of helpful posts. Plus, posts in Question Marathons are supposed to be legitimately insightful and helpful, and no offense, but Fast Facts isn't exactly that type of event.
Two years ago I knew stuff about rocks, minerals, experiments, and ecosystems, yay!
Last year I knew stuff about amphibians, reptiles, water, and more experiments, yay again!
Now I'm learning stuff about oceanography, fossils, and writing/following instructions, yay for the third time!

Yo what is this? Manganic acid

Also no, I don't believe "phone" would be acceptable. The one I had in mind was paracrine signaling.
