Automatic labeling of "bids" to the next level of competition, see here for example. I assume the only method being used is the top X schools at each regional/state competition, i.e. disregarding multiple teams from a single school, as can be seen in the example. Please let me know if there are any other methods in use and I will hold my head in hands and then go implement it.

I've added the proper bid vaulues for the state competitions; if anyone could find the information for the other regionals on the site that would be greatly appreciated.
I'll note that Washington, Florida, and I think one other state that I can't remember allow multiple teams from a school at the state tournament. To my knowledge, all other states with bids use the method you describe.

Wisconsin allows exhibition teams at the state tourney, if that's what you mean Unome.

No, he means that schools are allowed 2+ teams at states. I believe Colorado is one of them, Preston MS in Div B got 1st-3rd at states. Not sure if they have regionals or not, but some states allow multiple teams per school to advance.

Thanks for the info! A limit to the number of teams per school that are eligible for bids has been implemented so that the default is 1 but can be set to 2 in the case of WA, or even higher if needed. Thought of one more edge case: are there any Regional competitions that award bids based on placement in subdivisions (like "Small schools" vs "Large schools") rather than combined results? Currently bids are disabled in subdivisions and are only considered/displayed for combined results.

Yes, Colorado has regionals (see the Northern and Southern pages on the wiki). I do not believe they have a limit on how many teams from a school can advance to state, as in 2018, four teams from both Preston MS and Fossil Ridge HS were at state.
"Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:11-12

I have no regrets.

Not sure if someone has pointed this out already or not, but I noticed that on the "schools" sheet of the unosmium input spreadsheet, the names of the schools were not aligned with the states. I have attached a screenshot. I couldn't figure out why this was. This happens all the way down the spreadsheet.

Actually nevermind, I don't think this affects anything.
