2020 Science Olympiad Midseason Poll #1
Hello! Thought it would be a good idea to start up the Midseason Poll for the 2019-2020 Science Olympiad competition year. This poll is to get an idea of the top 25 teams in the country regardless of how many teams are in a certain state. If you are interested in contributing to this poll, feel free to do so here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIp ... sp=sf_link. You may do Division B, Division C, or both and there are no restrictions to how many teams can be from a certain state. This poll is due 7 PM Eastern Friday, January 31st, 2020. (EDIT: The link posted is for Division B. I will post the corresponding link for Division C shortly.)

Re: 2020 Science Olympiad Midseason Poll #1
I hope this gets traction, especially amongst the more experienced people on the forum. Interested to see if any teams that aren't national regulars (because they get blocked by a dominant team) make it on the rankings.

Re: 2020 Science Olympiad Midseason Poll #1
I realized I goofed and have fixed the error in that now Division C 19-25 are short answer. If you already put in an entry you can feel free to submit another one and I'll disregard the old one.

Re: 2020 Science Olympiad Midseason Poll #1
I didn't vote, but I'm surprised to see that presumably only one person out of nine include Fayetteville-Manlius, and even then it wasn't very well-received. Only 1 point total? It looks like a year outside the limelight can really significantly alter how people perceive teams (although admittedly Fayetteville-Manlius was a lot weaker last season than before)lumosityfan wrote: ↑January 31st, 2020, 5:12 pm Also receiving votes: NCSSM (19), Clark (19), Mentor (15), CCA (15), Palo Alto (13), Troy (MI) (11), Naperville North (11), Syosset (10), Carmel (8), Camas (8), Grand Haven (5), Saline (4), Madison West (4), SSA (3), Chattahoochee (3), Monta Vista (3), Stuyvesant (2), Fayetteville-Manlius (1)

Re: 2020 Science Olympiad Midseason Poll #1
Interesting. 7L feels like an overreaction (prob justified tho) from MIT results. Boca also appeared surprisingly high. Also weird to see harriton that low- I feel like they're gonna do what they did last year and pop off at nats. And am I just blind or is lower merion missing? Rest of the top 25 makes sense to me. Also who tf gave syo voteslumosityfan wrote: ↑January 31st, 2020, 5:12 pm Division C (9 total voters)
