For anything Science Olympiad-related that might not fall under a specific event or competition.

Is there any reason why all of the build events are repeating? This would be the third year of gravity vehicle and detector and fourth year of wright stuff.

At a guess, most people didn't really get to do much with their builds this year. Wright Stuff, as noted earlier, has attracted sponsorship which probably explains it's continued presence.

But the other events that were due to rotate out this year have gone - Boomilever became Bridges, Sounds has become WiFi lab.

Not only the build events, but all the events, with a few minor exceptions. There were a lot of teams that couldn't do science olympiad because of Covid, or had to do it with major restrictions, so it was decided that this year wouldn't count when it came to determining rotations, to give those teams the opportunity to participate in those events 2 years.

Wright Stuff is discussed above.

The cycle is Green Gen --> Ecology --> WaQua, so it would be odd for them to skip over Green Gen imo.

I think you'd need a robot event that was less vulnerable to pay-to-play. Money makes all the build events significantly easier, but the robot events seem to be especially vulnerable to overcoming problems with more money.
