A close-up of the pros and cons of the top mops for vinyl plank floor

When searching for a mop to take care of our vinyl plank floors, we need to focus on both the pros and cons so that we have enough information to decide whether that model is suitable. So I'm going to give you a close-up on that aspect with the top 5 mops from the list of the Best Mop for Vinyl Floors: TOP Options for Long-Lasting Flooring by TheKingLive. Let’s get into it.

1. Microfiber Wholesale Professional Microfiber Mop

The pros:
  • Inexpensive: this mop is super affordable if you want to get something simple to get down with the job.
  • Large mop: cleaning a big area is not a problem with this mop with coverage that wide.
  • Have both dry and wet cleaning pads: for quick cleaning with less hassle of switching equipment.
  • Easy to use: no complicated function or control, just pick it up and start moping.
  • Multiple washable pads are included: to save you some extra money on maintenance.
The cons:
  • Not designed for use with cleaners: you have to do spot cleaning for special stains and do a deep clean session every once in a while.
  • Can’t get into tight areas: since the mop head is so big, you have to find another way to take care of the corners.
2. Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop

The pros:
  • Affordable: I bet you can’t find another spray mop with such a budget-friendly price.
  • Easy to use: the manual spray system can be operated with a trigger, even your kids can use it!
  • Easy to maneuver: you can glide this mop around the house effortlessly like you’re dancing.
The cons:
  • Not for big liquid spills: the mop pad is not up for this task.
  • Not provided with many extras included: the non-scratch scrubber is the only advantage you get in the package.
3. O-Cedar Microfiber Cloth Wet Mop

The pros:
  • Incredibly inexpensive: the cheapest mop on the list.
  • Decent mopping performance: it is not the best mop for Vinyl floors, but compared to other models in the same range, it delivers the finest performance.
  • Simple yet sturdy construction: you can count on this mop for a long time.
  • Looped, tangle-free strips: just have to wash them, no need to free them.
The cons:
  • Not always easy to adjust the handle's length: which can be annoying sometimes.
4. O-Cedar ProMist MAX

The pros:
  • Highly maneuverable: this mop can swivel around your house like there is no obstacle in the path.
  • Budget-friendly: a very affordable price for such an amazing cleaning tool.
  • Excellent at picking up stubborn debris: all thanks to the small strips on the mop pad.
The cons:
  • Can't handle a big liquid mess well: a little disappointment for a dual-side mop pad.
  • No extras in the basic package: you have to pay more money to gain more privilege.
5. O-Cedar EasyWring

The pros:
  • Affordable: another budget-friendly mop with super abilities.
  • Easy to operate: from mopping to wringing, you’ll find no difficulty using this mop.
  • Lightweight: a plus point for a mop with a bucket.
  • Great wringing system: to get rid of the excess water, you just have to spin it with a little force.
  • Compatible with any cleaning solution: gives you more choices when shopping for the solution.
  • Washing machine-safe: just clean the floor and the washing machine will clean the mop pad for you.
The cons:
  • Not for a big room: can get in tight corners but not big enough to quickly clean a large area.
  • Flimsy components: you must be careful handling this mop.
I believe for many of you, these five options are enough to select a decent mop for your vinyl plank floor. But there are four more options with different pros and cons on the TheKingLive website so don’t forget to check them out as well if you’re still not satisfied.

Hi,

The tentative events for the 2021-22 season are shown here in the SOSI schedule. Information and rules about each event can be found on the SOINC website, as well as resources for events. The Scioly.org Wiki is also a good place for material events, as well as websites like Wikipedia. There may be event-specific resources that may be better, but these are just some of the general ones.

Note about what AZ sent, we don't know the topics for a lot of the events but we can guess based on previous rotation cycles. This year we have an increased chance of getting them wrong though because they're doing weird stuff with the rotations.

I spoke with the person in charge of the Science Olympiad team at my step son's school and he said that packets of information to study and try out don't go out until the school year starts this coming fall. Is there a way for him to study over the summer?
I wasn't sure what all he needs to cover and if we could use past information or where I would even get past material?
Hello! There's one other tip that every summer on scioly.org we host a summer study session to share notes, resources, work together:). [EX last year: viewtopic.php?f=379&t=17872] It usually goes up a week or so after nationals depending on logistics. You don't have to sweat all the details there, you or competitors can just ask questions about the events to people whenever the new thread is up. The basic idea is to prepare notes and get practice for how studying works in science olympiad in general (though, I don't know how tryouts work at his school, some schools run it differently for one reason or another so mileage is ?).

Usually compiling stuff off SOSI and students hypothesizing rules/topics for the next year also happen in one thread like that or another whenever SOSI is up. I see it now at viewtopic.php?f=334&t=21815 that might have more ideas unless someone has a better one?
