how many events?

For anything Science Olympiad-related that might not fall under a specific event or competition.

I practice in several events (5+trial) but due to scheduling I can usually only compete in three or four. States isn't looking good for me this year beacause my three best events (XPD, fossils, and Protein modeling) are in the same period! I hate when that happens... maybe I will just take on more events... I don't need that much sleep...

I wonder if there is anything to be done when that happens... :|

Not really anything to be done, but if you are adaptable you can fill in for othe events. Like I'm competing in Ornitholgy for regionals, which I haven't ever done or attended a practice for (getting a crash course this week), and have also subbed in for Sumo Bots and Ecology, neither of which are events that I studied. I actually joined Sumo about five minutes before competition- the second person was accidentally double-booked for Remote Sensing at the same time.

I'm pretty sure I beat you all with only 2. All of the events I wanted, or that weren't taken were in the same time period. -______-

And also because of seniority, even though I'm pretty sure Im more dedicated than at least half the team.

Cheers to SHS' lack of motivation.

I have 2 right now, but if there are too many conflicts or if I work a little harder, I could get up to 5. :)

On our team, we're each only allowed to have 3 or 4 events. I have 3.
Last year, one of my friends had all 3 of her events in the same time slot, so she had to give up two of hers - naturally, the two she didn't work as hard on.
I traded with her, so I ended up doing Write It Do It, which is now my best event :)

How doeses that work? Most on my team does three, but we have people with more, like our captain, who does 7, and me with 6
