I think we have one more year of foodborne illnesses, but I'm not 100% sure on that. This is it's second year on that topic, don't know if it's a two or three year cycle.
2011 Events: Anatomy & Physiology, Disease Detectives, Ecology, Microbe Mission, Mission Possible, Optics, Birds, Protein Modeling, Technical Problem Solving
2012 Events: Anatomy & Physiology, Disease Detectives, Elastic Gliders, Trees, Microbe Mission, Protein Modeling, Remote Sensing

The tentative plan is for the topic to be 'Environmental Quality"

Yes.

Will Water Quality still be on freshwater next year, or will it switch to estuaries? I understand that it will rotate between these two and oceanography, but does it switch every year or every two years?

Physics is difficult for 99% of the world's population because they don't understand it. The other 1% know too much.

That will be interesting then. I expect we'll be seeing a lot of water- and vector-borne diseases, and probably some amount of focus on non biological contaminants. Should be a cool topic.
