Exothermic reactions? I studied them before they were cool.

As a volunteer/event assistant at Nationals this year, I would like the National tournament organizers for 2013 to be more prompt with housing responses. My friend and I booked a dorm at UCF this year and was only informed that volunteers aren't entitled to staying at the dorms about a week later. Our reservation was not cancelled until one week before the tournament started. That was pretty inconvenient for us since we were coming down from Maryland and do not have the luxury of renting a car/staying at costlier but closer hotels. On the good side, we did stay a few rooms away from the Japan team.

I'm excited for next year and what looks to be a great slate of events!

I am, however, somewhat disappointed that they decided to stick with the name "Designer Genes" rather than opting for a more serious name like "Genetics" for Division C. Though so much of the intrinsic value of Science Olympiad is admittedly independent of the event names, I strongly believe that serious-sounding event names in Division C are important to legitimize Science Olympians' successes in the eyes of the outside world. I hope that the Life Science Committee and other relevant people will consider revising the name of this event before the rule books are printed this summer.

I am still a little confused about Boomilever. What are you supposed to do?
Perfection. That’s what it’s about. It’s those moments. When you can feel the perfection of creation. The beauty of physics, you know, the wonder of mathematics. The elation of action and reaction, and that is the kind of perfection that I want to be connected to.

Too bad they got rid of Road Scholar. I'm sure Roach Scholar will be just as good, though. XD

There are the rules... It's kinda like a sideways tower or a crane.

That makes more sense. Thanks.

On the list of events it said Roach Scholar insted of Road Scholar. I thought it was humerus.
