Events that 'go together'?
With the start of the new season, I have been thinking about the events that are really similar, and if someone does one, they almost always do the other.
So far, I have thought of:
Crime and CJAP
Ento and Fossils/Rocks (?)
Helicopters & Rotor (well, really all the building events)
Do you guys know of any others? Those are all I can think of now.

Ento is Lyfe. Ento. Bugs. Insects.
I didn't choose the Bug Lyfe, the Bug Lyfe chose me.
Live and die for Teh Insectz.

Mousetrap Vehicle and Wheeled Vehicle... (Well, yeah..obviously!)
Shock Value and Crave the Wave? ( I think so at least? ) Or at least Sounds of Music...(Casue music has waves too)
Elastic Launch Glider and Helicopters...cause they (practically) use the rubberband to help them fly/launch
Bridge Building, and Boomilever, and Elevated Bridge?
Experimental Design and Picture This? (Well, kinda)
Storm the Castle and Air Trajectory (Cause they both project an object, a ball)
I think there's more, but I can't think of it right now..

Re: Events that 'go together'?
Since paleoclimatology is stuff that will show up on Meteorology (Climate) tests, Meteorology and Fossils go together.
The hydrologic cycle is something to know for both Meteorology and Green Gen.
My personal favorite crossover was for two events that are nothing alike: Meteorology (Severe Storms) and Solar System. We worked on phase diagrams during our very first solar system practice, and I used what I learned then on the nationals test for Meteorology (we were asked to indicate where the triple point of a mid-latitude cyclone is).

I actually have gotten the most overlap from Solar System, Anatomy & Simple Machines.

Re: Events that 'go together'?
In C division this year we have Anatomy, Cell Biology, and Protein Modeling that all kind of go together
2013~Designer Genes~Disease Detectives~Forensics~Remote Sensing
2014~Anatomy~Experimental Design~Mission Possible
2015~Anatomy~Cell Biology~Experimental Design~Mission Possible
2016~Air Trajectory~Anatomy~Cell Biology~Experimental Design~Protein Modeling~Robot Arm~Wright Stuff

Re: Events that 'go together'?
Anatomy and Heredity?
Also perhaps Anatomy and Disease detectives depending on the topic.
Rocks and Minerals and Dynamic Planet works well too.
I also found from experience that Crime Busters and Heredity can go pretty well together, since they often ask a lot of questions regarding DNA in Crime Busters. I had a Crime Busters test once with over twenty DNA questions that contained info I've come across in Heredity.

Re: Events that 'go together'?
How about:
Water Quality and DP and Green Generation and Enviro Chem
Actually Green and Disease overlap some
Water Quality and Invasive (a couple of years ago invasive was a subset of WQ)
Ento and invasive
WIDI and Metric (so you can estimate distances, angles, etc.)
Sounds of Music and Crave the Wave
Bio Process Lab and ED
The old TPS and ED
2012 TPS and Sounds of Music
Microbes and Disease
Anything balsa and anything else balsa
DP (Volcanoes) and Waves
Someone mentioned Picture this and WIDI. While I think they attract the same kind of student, I don't see a huge connection.
after a few years of SO, they are all about the same event in a weird way.
