Sadly, my team is full of 6th graders who run around talking about "Minecraft". They changed the format of the team from having 6th graders as Alternates (sometimes if lucky full members) to half the team 6th graders and only four 8th graders. So no music, my friend and I usually just keep ear buds in and try to block them out.

Good for your coaches for allowing 6th graders to compete, but only 4 8th graders? Who was crazy enough to limit the number of experienced people?

I'm not sure if this is true elsewhere, but our school was allowed to bring two teams. So we had an eighth grade team and a seventh/sixth grade team. It may have been smarter to mix it up a bit, but oh well.

Im not sure if this format will be every year or just this year but she only picked 4 8th graders. In the past years I have done it, we have had up to 12 8th graders.
