I still wonder if the mets won... :| :| :|
You mention the mets one more pigeon time i will hunt you down, Kill you, eat your flesh, bones and muscle than i will drink your blood. If you saw the score in the seventh you will know the results. That is cause pigeon Barmes could not pull through with even a base hit when he was up TWICE with the bases loaded

that but it is also a pigeon you Clint Barmes for not comming through on two chances you had to score some run for the Rockies.

Also the home plate umpire made about the pigeon call in the world at home had he made the right call the score would have been 3-0. Also this is the first game that Jim Tracey was thrown out of since he took over as manager for the rockies

The Phillies traded for Cliff Lee, without giving up any of their top 3 prospects (or J.A. Happ). I think this makes them the favorites over the Dodgers, thoughts?

YES!!! :D :D :D I just hope he produces and isn't a bust. It should be easier as a pitcher in the NL, right? Although even without him they still are the hottest team in the NL.

I think this puts them over the top in an NLCS against the Dodgers. Yeah, the general rule is that your ERA drops 0.50 when you lose the DH. Plus they have him for 2 Octobers.

As a Mets fan, I must applaud the Phillies for what is seemingly a steal of Cliff Lee. He's a great starter (not quite "brilliant" like last year, but so be it) who didn't get run support in Cleveland. It would appear that the offense-heavy Phils should now give him the wins he's been sorely deprived of with the Indians.

Also as a Mets fan, I think it's pretty safe to say that any pitching upgrade was going to take the Phils from "default winners of a pretty lame NL East" to "crushing the NL East and leaving them totally behind." Really, unless Delgado, Reyes and Beltran all magically come back in the next week without any lingering problems from injury, it's pretty tough for me to see the Mets pass the Braves, much less the Phillies.

For that matter, there's essentially no chance for them in the Wild Card race at this point. For a team that looked so good at the start, this is a pretty sorry end. Wright, Santana and K-Rod can't carry the team all the time. Francoeur has been a miny-boost, but I don't see the team keeping up this pace for very long.

I do believe the mets could pull it off! the mets can nly pull it off when they get a consistent run scorer. if they can do that then the mets can win

I live near Cleveland, and am disgusted by the Cliff Lee trade that the Indians dealt. The entire city has lost hope on this team.
