Wasn't this already a thread? In fact, my answer here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=11380&hilit=clubs#p325521. Even Unome's, East's AND Lumo's (for those I missed: know that I started cross-checking further but decided to just up and give up, apologies) responses weren't all that different;P.

...but even more fun if you want to see some history: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2767&p=217315&hilit=clubs#p217315

oh hey, i did FPS in like 5th and 6th grade, thinking about rejoining (went to IC for scenario writing in 6th grade lmao)! i'm also currently in speech & debate (program oral interp, anyone?) and penohio, but penohio is now dead/bankrupt/sued by their parent company (it's a really long complicated story) and there will apparently be a pilot program for a new competitive writing program next year! i play tennis, too, and trombone during marching season but that doesn't overlap with scioly season.

Well... I run; hike; backpack; read way too many YEC books and websites; I'm a Eagle Scout with 9 Palms, and I'm working on the 10th to the 14th; I sorta play soccer; I'm currently sorta-experimenting with pyramid energy; I occasionally brush up on my Evolution et cetera, since it always seems to be changing; and more...

I know those ain't all extracurricular, but I learn from 'em, so...

Wow, the only extracurricular I'm on is the fencing team at my school. I also fence outside of school when it isn't during the season and I'll be going to some tournaments soon. The good thing is that the fencing season is September through November (so not really during Scioly crunch time).

Oof, I've always been fairly involved at school and I'm ngl I usually spend little time on Scioly throughout the year, but I really step up my game in the gap period between Regionals and State (when every activity sort of dies down).

Currently I have a leadership position in girls' tennis, Science National Honors Society, Science Olympiad, American Sign Language Club, and two nonprofit organizations.
Other activities that I'm heavily involved in include debate and club tennis.
Other activities that I'm involved in, but don't take up a lot of time are National Honors Society, Math National Honors Society, and dance.

While that may seem like a lot at first, the reality is that each activity takes up a lot of time-- but during different parts of the year. For example, when debate season starts ending around December, that's when the Scioly season starts heating up. Girls' tennis takes place in the fall, and I'm focusing less on club tennis as senior year comes. Other activities do take up a lot of my time, but again, the time of year when they're at their peak varies.

All in all, my activities are a bit much, but they truly don't take up an excessive amount of time. I still have time to hang out with friends and go to various school dances throughout the year! :)

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I held a part-time job throughout my junior year, I worked the entire summer last year (full-time job), and I will again work the entire summer (full-time job). You can do it too kids!
