Everybody on here better be rooting for the USA! I'm psyched for the Olympics. I've been ready for weeks!

Well thankfully Lindsey Vonn has another three days of rest before he trial runs so she may actually get to compete. Anyone hear about the Georgian that died in his bobsledding pratice run.

This is just a random fact i found out a few minutes ago relating to the Olympics. I have been one of the people that by the time I was 9 years old i had managed to see the Olympic torch twice as my town was a stop in 96 for Atlanta and 2002 for Salt Lake City. Just a quick random fact.

That's cool. Yeah, I heard that the Georgian athlete died. Pretty gruesome pictures on NBC's earlier broadcast.

I did not know until they went through the parade that Kyrgyzstan would be participating. I'm slightly partial to them after the United States, because my cousin went to the Central Asian country as a member of the peace corps.

And Mr. Costas, we'll let it slide, but it's pronounced "Kyeer-gez-stan", not "Kirk-is-stan". Can't wait for the US to appear on the parade of nations!

Condolences to the Georgian team for its loss.

And I didn't realize Steve Nash was Canadian until now.

I'm rooting for Canada (sorry zyzzyva98).

The ceremony was pretty decent, but it can't really compete with Beijing. It also kinda blowed that the fourth pillar refused to come out of the ground. Wayne Gretzky was pretty predictable too...
