MTG Question
I don't know if any of you play, but I have a rules question, and I don't know if any of you can help me with this.
If I attack with a 7/1 trample, and my opponent blocks with a 1/1 normal creature, does the trample damage (6 life) carry over to my opponent, even though my creature was killed?
Thanks in advance!

Re: MTG Question
Magic the Gathering, yes? I've played a few times, but I'm not hardcore like some of my relatives. It's a staple at our family reunions. I could try to contact one of them or you could ask the fine people at Yahoo Answers or Cha Cha.

Yes the 6 damage would carry over, one way it wouldn't would be if the 1/1 had first strike.

Re: MTG Question
The above posters are correct, the 6 damage would carry over, the exception being if the blocker had first strike or double strike. Also, if you're interested in the game, the best forum for it is mtgsalvation.
