No, it's just a dumb thread. Of course I want to lock it, but it hasn't justified that, at least not yet.

More specifically...

So every time we wanna know somebody's gender, we have to look through a very long thread to find it? No thanks.

So unless you wanna check the thread every hour or so...and compile all of the new posts into a very long list...with no typoes (so we can use Ctrl+F)...this won't work...

Who requested this? We requested (or at least I know that that's what I was pushing for, as well as Celeste and numerous others) for a gender slot on the profile, not a general chat thread.

I know the requests were not for this, but because the moderators did not show any interest in the gender slot, I figured that this was the best way to do it. I don't understand why it should be blocked (almost everything is allowed in the general chat section, short of controversy like religion. And even politics is allowed.)

Plus, nobody should reply "guess" because it just defeats the point.

It cannot. But my argument is still valid. Unless you intend to compile it...we ARE NOT going through a thread to find a gender.
