I forgot the word "ground" when presenting to a judge during Awesome Aquifers. There was a space of several seconds where I was trying to think of the correct word to describe what I was talking about before my partner jumped in and rescued me.

Not really a mistake, but during a Meteorology test it asked what the acronym BWER stood for. My partner and I had no idea, and I really wanted to put "Bad Weather Eel Radar," but my partner made me change the "eel" part. :(

I had a duck keychain with a button that would make the duck light up and quack when you pressed it. I brought it to my Ornithology regionals as good luck and put it in my pocket, but when I leaned against a desk it started quacking. The proctors thought it was an actual bird call.
ornithology, forestry, entomology, triple E, green generation, water quality, dynamic planet (lakes & rivers), awesome aquifers, meteorology, robot arm, write it do it. :)

My favorite story (that I've told repeatedly)

On the tryouts, crab was once spelled c***. It was some chart showing how many people got sick and ate the dip, and I was like, "No wonder they got sick! They ate c*** dip!"
100% of deaths are somehow caused by science.
Don't be a statistic.
Don't do science.

OMG! I have those duck key-chains! I have a bunch! A cow, camera, frog, sheep, pig, duck, ghost, fish and dolphin! I always wear them to competitions!
