Ehhh...There's a significant difference between making jokes, and embodying an attitude of hate towards a specific race.

Well, everything in America is corrupt. Almost.
I for one would like to thank our government overlords for giving us the freedom to talk about this.
Well now, that's stretching it a bit, don't you think?
No, not really. Maybe the government overlords part, which wasn't me. xP But I do believe that most everything here is corrupt. I mean, name something. And not something ridiculous like the mustard trade (which probably is corrupt in some way).

Depends on your definition of corrupt. Really, America is not the most corrupt place in the world (see Russia: Vladimir Putin). Maybe one of the more corrupt ones as businesses go, but the politicians aren't as bad. And really, where there is money, there will be corruption.

Z, is political stuff okay? The filibuster of Obama's choice for head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Richard Cordray which lasted 760 days finally ended today. 760 days late.

I'd prefer to keep politics stuff in the politics thread, unless it's a really, really, big deal like an important election or something along those lines. We've already got a thread for it and I'd worry that this one would just devolve into partisan bickering (or, in other words, become a Congress)

But I'm not going to provide the link to the politics thread here, because I'm not a fan of political discussions in general :P

May I point out that according to CNN, Snowden will leave the airport in a few days? His lawyer may have said this is because Russia may have granted temporary asylum to Snowden.

In addition to what you said A Person, The United States are proposing the idea of boycotting the Sachi Games if Russia grants asylum to Snowden.

The Olympic Committee isn't going for it though. :? Wonder how this'll turn out.

For the record, it wasn't the United States, it was one senator who said that. The media basically blew the whole thing up, and Tim Carney, Press Secretary, threw cold water on the idea a couple hours after the senator said it. So no, the United States is not proposing to boycott the Sochi games.

What I hate about the Zimmerman trial is that the media doesn't give you enough information. I don't really follow the news, because I usually find it depressing, but I *thought* I learned the whole story last year, when I had to do a report on it. My teacher showed us a videoand and article and they were the whole "Zimmerman thought the guy was being suspicious, and when he thought he was reaching for a gun, which was actually Skittles, and killed him" story. Later I hear that previously, Trayvon ambushed the guy?! And it's not like I found this out long after this was assigned. No. I heard it on the same day or the day after from my mum.
