I can play the guitar and sing on expert on Rock Band, but I can't for the life of me even play the drums on easy. I think I set an all time low.

I can't really explain how to play/understand the drums. You definitely have to have a good sense of rhythm and counting. I have tendencies to count in my head as I do it and I also recognize patterns as triplets or eighth notes, etc. I don't know what else...a lot of repetitive practice as well.
What I don't get is how people can move their hands to the orange button and then move them back fast enough to hit everything. My hand always gets way off and I mess up all the notes. I guess that is what I have to practice.
edit: As far as ultimate lows go, I once finished a song (barely) and beneath my score it said unconscious. Everyone else found it funny when they had top performer or whatever but I haven't really seen anything worse.

DDR IS AMAZING! I love it more than rock band and guitar hero. Theoneandonly and I play against each other, pretty evenly matched, it is really fun.
