It's really a compeititon between Parkland and Northwestern for Central East but we haven't seen any results from Parkland yet this year so who knows at this point. Allentown Central Catholic did pretty well at BVF too.
Perkiomen School and Perkiomen Valley are two different teams, easily confused. Still not sure what Perkiomen Valley is like this year, or if they are still at CEPA ir if they're competing at SEPA North.
Wow then we really have no clue how Central East is looking.

Based on team numbers posted for CE Perkiomen will not be competing in CE.

It seems also based on the CE updated website that they're not running division B over there this year :/ I'm guessing they asked the remaining teams to relocate to different regionals since they aren't running the competition.

Yes, only 6 b div teams signed up so they will have to go to another regional.

It seems as PA is changing up the rubric for Experimental Design since they were having problems with it? Since they said in their email that they'll be using it at all PA competitions, including invitationals, it'd probably be beneficial to link the rubrics here so out of state teams know.

It appears as though the 5 teams from CEPA that are competing in another region are all competing in NEPA. That will yield 21 teams competing in NEPA with likely 8 state spots. The region actually had 22 schools as recently as 2017, but only had 7 state spots that year as the state had 113 schools compete in regionals that year. Based on current registrations on statescioly.org, that number has shrunk down to 94 this year. It's a shame that while the top of the state is very competitive, the overall numbers have been struggling. Hopefully the new level 1/2 split will help remedy that somewhat.

If we look at last year's states, the top 8 in a combined NEPA/CEPA (not including Orefield) would have been:
  1. Springhouse
  2. Harlan Rowe
  3. Abington Heights
  4. Whitehall Coplay
  5. Kutztown Area
  6. Wayne Highlands
  7. Wilkes-Barre Academy
  8. Dallas
I expect North Pocono, Exeter Township, and Fleetwood to be competitive for states as well. This may wind up being the toughest region in the state this year.

Does anyone know when/if the new Southeast North regional will get a website and/or release a schedule? Are the schedules the same across regionals?
