I'm a little upset my reverse psychology didn't work. I never thought that anyone would willingly commit suicide.

Psh, I figured someone would commit suicide, but Genius? That's oddly funny.

Anyway, yeah, I think that's an easy clue. The king cobra eats snakes, and ophiophagus is its genus. ("Phagus" also sounds like "phage," which comes from the Greek word meaning "to eat.") Hence, ophiophagus is probably the target of this clue.

I protect myself because American Kestrels have been known to attack snakes.
