i just tried the cipher again and got the correct result. i have used exactly what appears in the clue.
i dont know what your doing, but the clue is not flawed

carry on with this one, which i have verified works

The Playfair cipher the assassinator used defaults to omitting 'Q', while Littleboy's instead replaces 'J' with 'I'. The result can be replicated on rumkin by replacing 'Q' with 'I' instead of 'J'.

You beat me to posting this; but this is one reason why playfair ciphers should be avoided sometimes, because there are a wide variety of ways to eliminate the extra 26th letter

The assassin is playing a very poor game right now.. There are too many ciphers to choose from (30 of them) to make a logical save.
