Codebusters Event This Weekend!

This weekend, Scioly.org is hosting a Codebusters solo practice test for those who want to practice Codebusters over the summer! (And there may be prizes!)

This event will run from Saturday 12 PM (noon) ET / 9 AM PT to Monday 12 AM (midnight) ET / Sunday 9 PM PT.

To start, fill out the form here: https://forms.gle/aBHoEXrmEqCzyCND8. Afterwards, you will be provided a link to the test and a separate form for submitting your answers. You will have a total of 1 hour to finish the test and fill out your answers; time starts when you submit the first form. (Remember to allot time for entering your answers into the form.)

Again, this is a solo Codebusters test. Use of external tools is disallowed. Show work, and in the answer submission form, you will be able to upload files as proof of work. For answers, spaces do not matter.

We did say there may be prizes, so try your best! Good luck, have fun!

Due to some technical issues with our script, an automatically sent email containing the test and submission form were sent to those who already took the test previously. We apologize for the unnecessary email sent to some of these competitors.

Thanks to everyone who participated! We had 35 participants from 19 different states compete in the scrimmage.

Grading was challenging - some people incorrectly input their results ("from from" instead of "come from" in the timed question, for example). In these sorts of scenarios, I counted the answer that was shown in the pictures taken only if you had clear work shown. All results were manually graded (and not with google sheet regex formulas).

Since Umaroth helped set up this event, he will not be taking his prize. The prize will go to A. Cai instead. The prize is a Science Olympiad water bottle + 2 Codebusters stickers. The stickers were generously provided by astropanda2004's Redbubble shop. Congratulations to both Umaroth and A. Cai!

All people who filled out the feedback form were also entered into a prize pool - the winner of the random drawing is Aimer. The prize is one Science Olympiad water bottle + a Codebuster sticker. Bernard will reach out with prizes shortly.
