I study for scioly like crazy, though :) who else here makes l binders and pulls out old reviewbooks and stays at school the night before until the custodians tell you that if you don't leave you will be locked in?
That's me right there!!

I have a sudden interest in robocross so if my coach lets me do that [which i doubt he will] i'll have 10 events :o

doing that many events is suicide, i've found that any more than 7 and u start to do worse in some of the ones u could have done better in

i've never gone past 5, to be honest, because i never wanted to risk stretching it too thinly...plus we have the full 15 members on our team and there are only so many events to be covered.
oh, and i have to actually pay attention to schoolwork bc my coach is my physics teacher this year and he'll notice if i spend too much time on olympiads and not enough on school :? am potentially doing four events (so far): enviornmental chem, ecology, experimental design, and picture this

my coach tries to limit us to 4 events, which is kinda nice, it does keep people from overloading, but i usually like doing at least 5

Our coach makes sure no one goes over 4 events he even tries to keep everyone he can at 3 events. :o

I don't know that they put a cap on our events...a lot of people join the team and only cover one event. I'm not sure that they can be considered true Olympiads...

usually the people that do that r younger, or they r forced to do SO by their parents, or their just trying it out to see what its like, so don't be to hard on them

Im not, really. I get that some of them are like forced into it. But people who have been in it for two or three years and still only do one event (and dont get medals in that event)? What is their deal, exactly?

Most of the alternates on my team only do 2 events. There were like 5 kids on our regular team that were very smart but they only did 2 events. This year we're going to try to have people on the regular team do alternate events too because it's good practice for the years to follow. I was going to do alternate science crime busters last year but right before i left to go to it there one of the kids on the regular team said that they really want to do it so i let them do it instead.
