That moment when your hovercraft moves only 5cm across the line in the 2015-2016 ISO State tournament trial event and you get 2nd place.
My initial reactions-> :o :shock: :D

That moment when in states for the first year and winning when literally nobody in the states thought you were gonna win.

In 2016 NY state optics, the laser shoot was basically bombed, with us only hitting 4 mirrors and the side of the box. This year, I got the redemption I was waiting for. We got all five mirrors, the barrier and 2.5cm off the point. The feeling I got will never be forgotten, especially since I was the crazy kid with the cat tie who forgot their school's banner back in NYC.

Also, I slept in a tub the night before since we only had one bed,one couch and five boys. It was the weirdest but best thing I have ever done. I owe our 5th place to the tub.

Relatable. Every time we go to a mainland tournament, I sleep in the closet of the hotel the night before the competition.

Air Trajectory Nationals 2016: Coming off an incredible run during Electric Vehicle on our first time block, my partner and I head over to Air Trajectory and check in. Before we start setting up, we are told we didn't impound our data and therefore wouldn't be given points for it. After the first shot, we get informed we forgot to remove our sighting laser from the device and we would be getting deducted points. Then on the second shot, my partner accidentally touches the sand target when aligning our device and we get another penalty. Long story short, 56th place.

Gonna include this one cause my coach JonB can't seem to forget that I forgot to charge my Electric Vehicle battery before regionals 2016 and the device ran about 6 meters (2.5 meters short of the photogate), stopped, and proceeded to play the mario theme song we had programmed in...

On the bus ride to states this year, my best friend and I came up with a song that was basically the 12 days of Christmas, but Science Olympiad themed. We sang it once the full way through and annoyed everyone. Then on the ride back from the awards ceremony, we were all super upset so we sang it again and cheered everyone up. At least, it cheered me up.
